    Car and truck manufacturers have already said they can't possibly meet the next round of emissions. Guess he still ain't listening

    He won't have to worry...at the rate we're going, that reduction will be achieved by the decrease in commerce this administration is causing.

    Interpretation = Huge fines for idling. Larger penalties. (Jailtime, confiscation of equipment?)

    It has to be, it's the path of least resistance. It's the one area of equipment operations where fuel doesn't service the load or the work. If Uncle Slam didn't force engine manufacturers to load up diesel engines with pollution crap, they would all get better mileage.

    The more government regulates something, the more broken it becomes and the more government regulates it. With each cycle, government chooses to assign blame on us for forcing them to regulate us.

    Better fuel mileage has always been the number one goal of trucking companies and engine manufacturers.

    It doesn't matter anyway, a few weeks ago, Pilot Corporation announced plans to outfit ALL it's travel plazas with CNG pumps. If you don't know it yet, the U.S. is the Saudi Arabia of natural gas. In less than ten years, the newer trucks will run on compressed natural gas and our diesel equipment will be obsolete.

    Our oil powered engines will be completely obsolete and unwanted in ten years..

    I believe you are right, this country needs to focus on a completely brand new power technology.. Gas is just not enough anymore..

    IN Europe more Cars have Dieselengines,is better the Carproducer bring this Engines to the US,after Obama have a good fuelsaving for usa,with more saving for the trucks come worster for the driver ,look right now what happen with the new engines for trucks ,
