Oh yes, I am so very glad that now everyone has access to health care coverage and yet the only ones that can afford it are the ones being paid/subsidized by Uncle Sam with the tax dollars paid by those who no longer can afford to buy their own coverage.... What a country... :-(

guys it depends on how screwed you want to be. do you want to go in dry or do you want your gear oil?
Double Yellow mention his dilemma here in California. I work for covered California(The state exchange) and yes the increase insurance is not cool for the public.
So if you decide not to get insurance and if something happened to you, you have permanent financial ruin.

if you decide to get insurance yes the initial cost does hurt. but your overall or long-term cost will be minimum, you will not enter into bankruptcy.

DY, you need to decide whether you want an HMO or a PPO coverage. Many do not understand those acronyms, so you need to do research and find out what the best coverage will be for you.

my personal opinion for any owner/operator they would need to get some kind of universal care. like a Blue Cross or Blue Shield. but there's issues regarding that because you never have the same doctor.

But if you're in a specific region like the West Coast and have an HMO coverage do it, you can go to any doctor in that network. they have access to all your medical records.DY if you need some further help, private message me and we can talk.
