Waiting list, interesting. I have been with Keim for 5 yrs., and their trucks don't stay empty long. I'm happy here and like to run 2 weeks out then home, it works for me. Most all companies have these issues, just have to make your priorities known the people in charge. By the way, the dispatchers are not in charge, they are just the first in line!

I drive for oberg now, but I'm about to try somewhere else. Nothing bad, just want a change. At Oberg I average 2600-2800 miles a week, and I am home every weekend. I have gotten 3200 on a few occasions. And I have gotten 2200 a few times. Often depends on shippers. Hard to make up time with elogs and a shipper taking 3 hrs to unload. I hear some guys complain about miles, but the same guys are refusing loads and spending a lot of time at truck stops. I get along pretty well with everyone, and nothing bad to say. Good luck.

I'm planning on starting Oberg next Monday. Hope it's a good choice.

Any carrier / driver is a relationship and sometimes it is not compatible. Numbers are one thing, contentment is another. Customer base is one of the big factors that many don't really consider till after they are already working for the carrier. The carrier could be great, but the customer base can be terrible, and the driver deals with the customers more than the carrier every week. Oberg is a fine choice for many drivers. Like any other carrier, they have issues. There is no perfect carrier. I have been with my present carrier for almost 8 years and have no desire to change, but like all carriers, they lose drivers now and then over compatibility issues. Number of miles are important to a point. How miserable you are turning them is another.
