Obtaining your CDL

Ok, I recently got my CDL and it states no convictions or traffic tickets. On my regular license I had some tickets. I'm wondering does your CDL overpower anything that was on your regular license before you turned it into a CDL? I've had my license for going on three months and it still is clean. I'm asking because I would hate to go to a company and it shows up months later. I have a Alabama CDL. My regular license number and my CDL number is the same. Thanks in advance for any info on this.

 

I already let the company check my MVR and it states no accident convictions or traffic accidents. Do I need the issue date and expiration date of my regular DL? They are the same number and I pulled my MVR and it only shows my CDL information. When I received my CDL permit, that state took my old regular DL.

 

Alabama is the State I reside in.

 

How long will this take? Its been almost two months since my license was switched to Alabama. I would think if it was to go on there, it should be on there already.

 

I went to the DMV and they couldn't tell me the issue and expiration date on my regular license
