I got a report but am waiting to see how this babysitting load pays after coming off a reset at home due to my house catching fire last Sunday morning 10-9-11. I was available to roll Saturday morning but as given a babysitting load Saturday that delivered Sunday night then a pre plan from huntsville, al at 1900 Monday cause they needed to get someone home who was over a week late off time. Regardless my wallet is starving. Miles below average. Will post more details soon.

I just had a week off (OUCH)
came on yesterday to a 600 mile load so I will get a small check (enough to cover my insurance) a 800 mile load to Fairburn, then picking up chicken at TipTop and going thru P-cola for a student and off to Vernon, CA by Monday night. 10hr every day, but from today until Tuesday morning, a 3200 mile week
They all average out. I just has a lousy 2100 mile week before I went home -
2100 miles wow, not even close here. Always under 2k. I was paid 105 dollars for babysitting from 9am Saturday to 6 pm Sunday, its Bs. I could make more babysitting kids. I just came off emergency home time so that being said I can not afford to lose 3 days of drive time to 105 dollars pay. This is not the first time. Last week shows paid 2300 miles was given load out of Layton that was due in rochelle the day I picked it up, said they would reschedule. So I drive hard to get there by sat, and find out the don't take live loads sat and now per pcola weekend dispatch my offload was scheduled for Sunday 8am. This was never communicated to me.sunday morning I get a call at my house is on fire in atlanta , I send a message over the qualcomm letting them know . luckly my driver manager was working sunday and he was already working on getting back to atlanta . I get 1 load out of wisconsin 4 re power in ohio . then end up back in toledo to take a load down to atlanta . I got my load of atlanta can I go home to take care business . I came home for 2 days to assess the damage , I had to throw way about half my clothes which were all my good clothes , I don't take my real nice just close to trucking .my driver manager asked me to give him a time when I would return so he could put me back on the board .I buy them I would be ready to roll saturday morning . without having a house now I was sleeping in my truck . I got a call friday stating that they have a load for me for saturday but it was a spare me sitting load . I've had more babysitting loads than I care to have ever . I'm here to make money and I honestly cannot make money with this company . the guys getting the miles are the trainers if maywood take care of their own drivers they already have they would have such a high turnover . I for 1 am losing all loyalty to this company due to all the babysit loads and lack of miles . less than 2500 miles a week I should be home every weekend for that low. There are companies that have you home every weekend for less than 2500 miles. I just wanna make some money and get some miles . typically I run 11 hours a day is hard as I can. there many companies hiring 38 cents a mile after 1 year experience . I meet too many may drive ers that are all leaving this company, all say the same thing sit time and lack of miles . I completely agree with them .

also after the babysitting load on sunday drop off I had a preplanned pick up a load monday 7 pm in huntsville alabama . someone tell me where is the benefit sitting for 3 days like that and no miles .

Just for the record I am using my cell phone I let my friend use my laptop, since she lost hers in the fire. So if my spelling or sentence structure is off because I am typing on a little phone. I have an education, and did good at it. Just after proof reading after posting looks ###### typed this.

personally, in the year I have been with May, I have only sat ONCE, for one day, waiting to get dispatched on a load. The last month I have been getting preplan upon preplan (as in within hours of picking up one, I have a preplan coming, there have been a lot of <1000 mile trips)
I would cry if I EVER got even close to 2000 in a week, let alone LESS than 2000 -
I have been hearing this through fellow drivers of other terminals. I think we get the wooden pickle being so far away. So many drivers I meet out of my terminal have similar complaints. Maybe I will move to Denver. -
Pay for this week paid less than 1k miles, due to home time 2 days, babysitting 2 days paid one day and next day late pick up 7pm. And not able to turn in one trip on time because I was in the middle of nowhere with no transflo around. 275 take home , I could make more on unemployment.

Sorry to hear your un happy brother, What terminal do you work out of and DM? Maybe I can figure this all out or at least offer some advice!
