I brought a load of onions up to AWG in Ft Worth from Raymondville, Tx last week. I sit for around 3 hours then I felt them take them off... I thought! Then sit and sit. After about an hour and a half, I went in to see what was up... All 24 pallets were all still on my truck. They had started and put them back. The guy told me the inspector said with all of the rain in Mexico the onions were just a little discolored... Didn't affect the taste or anything, and its not any fault of yours he said, it just was not appealing to display in the market... IT'S A ONION! Peel It! I called the broker, and after about another 3 hours, They took them all off of me and said they were gonna store them for the shipper until they picked them up. That was fine with me. I don't think the wife and I could eat that many onions. I went on my way and I was paid for the load.

Years ago I brought up some watermelons from the same area to Bozzuto's in CT and they said they were not pink enough and was going to reject the load... We tore into one and cominced to chowing on it.. They were the sweetest melons I had ever had eaten and the inspector & buyer liked them too... They decided to take them.

In California, you have to have the consent of all parties to record a telephone conversation.

According to my attorney if I'm the one recording the call as well as being involved with the call (not eve's dropping) I do not need the other parties consent. Also provided that I'm not selling or profiting from the call.

Our dispatchers all know I record them as I have played back what they really said to them on a number of occasions.

I consulted my attorney because the company actually stated they "forbid me from recording company conversations". And again my legal representative told me as long as I was part of the conversation I could record any call, personal or business.

Long and short they stopped playing the What I said was game....

In driver and safety meetings I set it right out in the middle of the table, it seems to shorten the meetings.

I think this kind of clears things up a bit....but keep in mind, this addresses admissibility in court. Check the link for further information.

Let me know the name of your attorney so I can add them to my list of attorneys never to call.

We deliver to S.A.L. in Wichester, Ky quite a bit. We take them ground beef. Our outbound dispatcher always gives you 2 sets of directions, one for them and the other to a cold storage n Lexington. Why? Simple answer is: We average 1.5 to pallets of rejection there.

Another one i had was supervalu in Mechanicsville, Va. Got checked in, and before i had that done, they rejected 8 boxes. Turns out they orederd to much of that product, and i got stuck with it.

We had a whole walmart load rejected because the shipper forgot to put a tell tale in the load.
