What load boards are there for the odd stuff like box utility trucks, big vans, small equipment and such stuff that won't fit in a typical 7-9 car? Any help is appreciated. Just bought a new SC 5 Car and would like to use to the max potential. Not trying to take anyone's business so I understand if I don't receive replies. Hauling mostly in the southwest. We already haul a lot of sprinter vans. I've tried the Google but it seems they're more interested in General Freight. Thanks fellas.

In my opinion, "most" of the big stuff (at least the big stuff that pays well) isn't found on a load board, it is found though contacts and connections that take years to develop, jmho.

My company occasionally does stuff like that, but it's just driveaway. Sometimes we pick up International boxes or stake beds out of Springfield OH and take them to the Baltimore area. at other times we have picked up boxes on F-650s from the plant in Avon Lake OH and delivered them all over the place.
By driveaway I mean we just show up, pick up the truck and take it to the drop. I took one from Avon Lake to Los Alamos NM last year. It was a nice low-stress side trip. Dropped it at the Gov't yard there and caught a flight back to OH.Car hauler2015 Thanks this. -
Thanks for the reply Stan. Sun Country speak highly of you by the way. They do some work for me on my other trailer and see Brian a lot since I'm located in Phoenix.
I figured that would be the case. We have started a nice client list. Have to provide great service and like you said, its not easy to come by. I was just wondering.
Glenn,
I've seen a few driveway loads come up. Curious though how or what license plate do you put on if they don't have one? Do you just put "in transit" sign and drive off?KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this. -

I carry four Wisconsin transit plates with me, as well as a permit book with IFTA and all the registration and insurance info. The plates are accepted in all states, though a few require us to get permits to either pass-thru or deliver there. I also carry an AZ plate just because AZ insists on us using their plates.
I usually just throw one on the dash. Don't want to scratch the grille or bumpers, since the trucks are brand new. I keep my IFTAs in the permit book and no one bothers me about it, although in FL they once pulled me in back at a scale house and then asked me to show them. I pulled out the permit book and showed them and went on my way.
New truck transport is pretty standard stuff and the DOTs know what we do, so they don't bother with us too much. It's a pretty cool gig too. Pays well and some nice perks.brian991219 and KANSAS TRANSIT Thank this.
