ODFL, UPSF or FDXF: Difficult decision...

    Hey guys,

    I know that there is no question these are great companies, it's just I've received offers from them for Linehaul/Road gigs and I'm just at a loss for choosing which one. I live in Salt Lake and have interviewed at all 3. The one that left the best impression on me was ODFL. UPS pays the best (once you hit 4 years), then ODFL, then FedEx. Anyone care to give their two cents?

    Depends... if you don’t got bills I’d go with UPSF or FedEx Freight. If you have bills OD. Reason why is UPSF will pay the most in the end. If their UPS package guys make .95cpm $41hr UPSF will likely only be a step lower. Possibility of transferring to package is real. My area hired an OD LH guy a former co worker straight to ups package LH in my area. If your with UPSF it’s likely you can apply and get it. I’ve know 2 people who went to UPS package from the street and from UPSF. OD and FedEx are great jobs but you can’t beat a pension and a 65 billion dollar revenue giant. OD is around 5 billion a year vs UPS.

    I’d go to either UPS or OD. If you go to FedEx, your driving skills will erode overnight and you’ll cruise in the left lane, keep going over the line on both sides of you, and probably eventually end up overturned in the median. Those guys are the most dangerous drivers I see out here...

    Fed ex Freight is joke nowadays..local barn here has all 22 yr old kids running for them. Watched one the other day seemed like it took him 20 mins to back a pup off the road into the dock. OD or UPSF is my choice..with OD being first.
