    Hello Everyone,
Im interested about getting my CDL , I read a ad on-line for Pam and I already applied and called my rep. Now Im wondering if Im doing something right. So, my Questions are: 1. How is PAM and its training? 2. Do you remember how much you start off with? 3. Can you start solo or have to team-up? 4. If you end up having to leave or be sent home saying that PAM doesn't need you, how much would you have to pay for the days that you went thru your training. thanks for your response

Well my school placed me with PAM. It's not going to be one of the most highly regarded companies but it does get your foot in the door of the industry.

Also at least when I was with them the whole fleet was autoshifters.

As for training it really depends on who is your trainer. I did okay getting Mark Muelfeld. I'd recommend him.

After training you can drive solo which is what I did. I personally don't think I could stand team driving.

As for the company in general there has been complaints recently about to much sitting on the weekends. Also there are some repair shops you need to try to avoid if possible. When you get a chance ask an experienced PAM driver about shops to stay out of like Irving, TX. Some are bad but Irving I think was the worst.
