Question: We have 10 buses. During June and July they will be parked. What do the drivers have to do as far as logs?

the last 8 days before coming on duty need to be documented on Logs.

If they worked at another job, those hours are suppose to be logged.

For instance, if they start working July 8th, and did not work elseware, they can use ONE log sheet, and Date the top date 07/01, draw a line across off duty, and then write "off duty 07/01-07/07"

You should do one off-duty log for June, and one for July assuming you are already working for this company. You must account for all your time, even off duty time.

From a retired federal DOT official.

That is all they need to do - log the previous 8 days before driving bus again. They could fill out june and july too, but it's totaly unnecessary.
