Simple Task...
1) In the begining....Always Start in First gear. (Loaded or Empty)
While you get the feel for the Clutch and Shifter play
2)No Fuel pedal on first gear...Minimal fuel pedal push on 2,3,4 then Increase for subsequent gears.
3) Slow Clutch release....
4) Always shift when RPM in the Range of 1,000rpm < 1,400rpm
5) double clutch Or Not...
6) Let the speed decrease before you start down shifting.
You should be OK.....
Read this procedure over and over and over again....until you can memorize it.
You should be OK.
HAPPY TRAILS....!!!!
Offered a great paying job close to home, but manual trucks only.

That’s good except those rpms don’t work for all trucks.
If I don’t rev my s60 to 1600 or 1700 it’s not high enough to drop into the next gear nicely. It will grind and I’ll have to rev it.
It’s harder to drive easy I feel like. If you really want to move you just shift when it stops pulling as hard but you can’t drive like that through the yard lol.JReding Thanks this. -

If the RPMs is at a certain point in a certain gear the mph will always be the same. for instance in my truck 7th at 1500 is always 27mphDan.S Thanks this. -

That's one thing that's easier to do in a truck than a sycronized car it will almost always start with out touching the throttle without stalling unless your way to jerky with the clutch

Actually not to be a smart### the mph thing is for when your downshifting and not sure what gear to recover to. I remember my instructor teaching me that when I was trying to find a gear and they all seemed to. grind

That is not entirely accurate. It's a good guideline, but the speed vs. gear thing becomes moot once you have say 3.36 rears or maybe 4.11 rears.AModelCat Thanks this.
