    Why do you have to go to that level of detail?

    They purchased fuel. It's a simple transaction. Line 9 item.

    Having the amount recorded in a category for vehicle fuel expense is suffice. Keeping the receipt in a file folder for 3 years is the only other requirement.


    You get out of these programs exactly what you put into it. Same as any other computer program. Garbage in, garbage out. The deeper you put your detail into them, the more detail you get out of it.

    If you aren't willing to take the time to put in to set up your schedules, tax forms and other stuff, then you get nothing out of it and you may as well put all your receipts into a box and take them to an accountant every month.

    how many people out of 100 do you think have any clue what you just said? My guess is 4. Good idea, im an excel nerd too. I have a guy trying to sell me the fleetmentor program for $2K for 3 years. I told him I can do all of that and more in excel and access for freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.:biggrin_255:
