Ya, I knew you would. Just thought you would like to share some of your misery with him, kind of blindly some how... hehehehee

I guess I will go ahead and get my endorsements that I had planned on getting while I am doing nothing for the next 7 months.

Like when he was water skiing. The boat was towing two guys, one guy falls and his rope bounces around on the water and ends up wrapping around his leg! The person who is supposed to be watching the skiers is not watching.
So he tries to unwrap the rope, and of course falls. He gets pulled under, and even farther under. Finally someone notices there are no skiers so they start to turn around. this puts slack in the rope and he can try to swim to the surface.
They don't see him, but they see the other guy that fell farther back. As he is just about to the surface they pass him, the rope gets tight again on his leg and drags him back under!!!!!!!!
He said it felt like he was under for about 7 hours! But somehow held his breath that whole time and survived it.

Well, since things did not work out with a certain company I wanted to work for, I am back to my original plan going to tech school.
I was going to go to Athens Tech but North Ga Tech starting offering a night course so I am going there instead as it is much closer to the house.
So I went and registered today, met the instructor and chatted for a bit. Left there feeling good about things. First night of class starts March 5th so not much to write about until then.
There are only two of us in the night class and both of us already have our permits so we will get cracking on the range quicker since we don't have to cover the test manual. We will do logging and trip planning first then get out on the range.

Good luck Rubberducky. I went to a tech school on a Hope grant in Acworth, GA to get my CDL 'bout 3.5 years ago, and it has worked out nicely for me. Some of the better companies recruit from those courses.
I hope your back is doing well now.rubberducky68 Thanks this. -
The teacher and I talked about different companies that come to the school and he mentioned Auto Zone has been hiring from there. So I was excited about that. I am going to start working on getting my HazMat endorsement so it will be in place when I finish school. Never hurts to have it anyway. Opens more doorsped Thanks this. -
Well, the first day of class is behind me. Nothing real exciting. The teacher went school policies and had us sign a few forms. Covered the course outline and got our books. Also issued a pre-trip video to watch between now and next week before we get out on the range.
Another student and I get a reprieve for the rest of the week since we already have our permits. So until next week...
It is good to finally be working on getting my CDL. -
Well, I have been doing some thinking about companies to apply with once I finish tech school. So far my first four picks are Watkins Shepard, May, and SNI, and Auto Zone.
Anyone care to comment on my picks? Suggestions for better ones?123456 Thanks this.
