Today I finally got coded in and hired on, my mentor they matched me with was dropping a load at a Walmart 45 miles away and I meet up with him tomorrow to head out on the road.

I can say im glad boring orientation is done, only good that came out today was being coded, being matched and setting up a corporate account at wells fargo so watch out for me out there! ;)

Now the fun starts. Learning Marcos and remembering to do them when they need to be done. dealing with planners or should we say blind keyboard punching monkeys. Backing into a spot at a truck stop without ripping a hood off. Oh almost forgot the boring is not over you have about a hour to two hours of videos to watch on the kiosk if your trainer wants to get them out of the way before you head out or you will be dealing with the Qualcomm messages reminding you

yeah I got the sheet giving me the list of videos I need to complete, waiting for the code to be active and I have my laptop I can do them on the road as well, I was going to go into the terminal early before he arrives but my code might not be active quite yet, not sure what time they put it in today but told me it takes 24 hours. I also want to get my direct deposit setup since I dont want to use the comdata card since those fees are ridiculous.

Also im a very cautious driver and I use my get outs when needed, I will try my best not to take a door or hood off :p

Your code will probably work before 24 hours is up. Mine did. And remember to stay on the mat. Lol I hate those mats. And yes if you don't know you have enough room get out. When you start teaming the days fly by and start to be a blur. Lol good luck out there driver. Maybe We will run into each other. Look for truck 308724

thanks, to be honest I probably wont remember your truck number lol
My name is Jakob so if you ever run into me...

I need to think of a cb name as well, I plan to use the cb even though its a dieing tool, I used one growing up since my parents were truckers and my dad always had a home base and I even had a cb in my very first car at 16.

You can always write a comcheck off your comdata card when you fuel, and that saves on the fee. Comdata cards work at walmarts and just fyi, Winco supermarkets have ATM's that accept comdata, and the fee is only a $1. and the ATM lets you withdraw up to a $1000. At least the one in West Valley, UT does.

have fun and congrats to you!!!!
