oh man! O/O not by choice. HELP!

    Long story short. I just graduated trucking school and applied for many jobs. My license has been suspended 3 times due to being broke in the past and not paying insurance. No one but major trucking companies. I dont want to deal with the nightmares of swift or such companies. My fathers willing to give me a 2010 t2000. I have no clue where to go to find work. Anyone have any advice? Im willing to put in the time.

    Hello Toyota Supra,

    That is an awesome engine!!! Sorry for the sidestep but back to your concern. With you having a license that was suspended for lack of insurance, how long ago was that and did the trucking school talk with you about this? Or did your father talk to you about concerns of getting into trucking with a record of suspensions?

    Getting insurance on a truck is going to be quite expensive if you able to find a company that will insure you and the T2000. I am not aware of any companies that will hire on a driver straight out of school with no OTR experience as an O/O. I am sure that other drivers in the community can provide some more insight and point you in the proper direction but if your dad is still in the trucking industry, you might want to really pick his brain.

    It is a great engine! Ni one mentioned my lic being a problem until this first call back from cypress. Insurance wants almost 4k down and about 10k a yr. Wouldnt be that big of a oroblem if i could actually find work. The last suspension was in January

    January of this year? Geeez....

    The only suggestion I would have to be to try the stick haulers (the logging outfits).
