It looks like Ohio is going to raise the speed limit in the areas where it is now 65MPH to 70MPH. I don't know if that will include bigtrucks though. They had that crazy limit of 65 for 4 wheelers but 55 for trucks but they did away with the 55 for trucks not too long ago. It will help the o/o drivers if it is increased for bigtrucks too. I suspect most company trucks are governed.

Yeah right. The 55 for trucks only went away on the open stretches of interstate between cities. Get on any of the big US or OH routes, even divided 4 lanes in the middle of the country, and its still 65 for cars and 55 for trucks. Absolute horse poop.

Wow......but ok :biggrin_25513: The US route speed limit thing (55) makes sense in alot of the areas in the Buckeye due to stop lights, cross traffic and overall congestion. The proposal includes upping the limit to 65 in the areas it is now 55, as it is safe and practical to do so. The measure passed both houses and is going to the governor for approval.

It's Snowwy, Jake. You can safely assume the opposite of what he posts is far closer to the real facts.

It must be hell for a o/o driving from Seattle to san Diego because of his non-governed truck being held back by stupid laws. Back in the days before 55 several western states either had no speed limits or they didn't enforce speed laws. It wasn't uncommon to see 100+ MPH drivers.
