Oil change intervals on a deleted isx ?

    I have a 2013 isx that was over hauled a year ago and have run 18k drains on it since .
    Recently had a delete done and thinking about 25k drains now that it's not pushing all that soot into the oil.
    I do not idle for anything more than warm ups and cool downs and plan on keeping this truck at least another 4 years .
    Any opinions?

    Watch your engine hours and take an oil sample. And monitor your soot (carbon) levels for a couple oil changes. If samples look good bump to 25k and monitor with samples for another couple samples. And then pull samples every 2 or 3 oil changes to keep an eye on it while your engine breaks in.

    Just to clear the air, I am for engine oil sampling at every oil change. But if your not, this question is the exact reason to use it.

    Have you been getting oil analysis's done since you rebuild? If so, you could try it, maybe pull a sample at 22,00 and test it. If not I would get an OA now so you have a baseline to go by.

    I sample at every oil change and every thing comes up good at 117k on the overhaul ...just did the delete and still on the sooty oil at 15k now .
    I like the idea of the previous poster of push it to 22k .

    my company goes 50,000 miles on oil. thats with synthetic blend. they wont even put oil in it as long as its touching the dip stick.
