Hello Fellow Drivers,
I recently purchased a used 2015 Freightliner Cascadia 125 w/Cummins ISX15. My only problem is that it was built for a fleet and doesn't have any of the following gauges; Turbo Boost, Pyro Temp, Transmission and Differential Oil Temps. I am mechanically inclined so adding the gauges and sensors won't be an issue for me, the issue I'm having is finding The Correct Oil Temp Sensors for the Transmission and Differentials (As I don't want to drill and tap the Diffs or Transmission with the oil temp sensors given to me by Glow Shift Gauges). I would like to use original Freightliner parts for ease of comfort in the future. Been to Dealerships and Mechanics, no help as the truck didn't have these sensors originally, they can't find them for me! Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Typical lazy-### parts people. Freightliner probably only uses 1 or 2 different sensors across all their models anyways lol.
I would suggest finding someone who has a truck with the same model of diffs as yours with the sensors and give the dealer their VIN.
If the diff housings are already drilled/tapped for sensors, you could also just find temp sensors with the same type/size of threads. Just make sure they don't hit anything inside.A5¢ and NakedRussian Thank this. -
Other than that:
Make sure the characteristics of the sensors (resistance vs temperature) match the gauges.
If you buy them as a set, you'll be OK.
If you buy sensors and gauges seperately, the characteristics may be different, and your readings may be incorrect.spsauerland and AModelCat Thank this. -
Did you check to see if the senders are already there?
My truck didn't come with a trans temp gauge but the trans had a sender and the wire harness was complete from behind the dash down to the frame rail. Just needed to make a wire to connect the sender to the harness, bought a gauge off eBay, and drilled another hole in the dash
