Oil getting too hot

    Yes it does but it dosnt help with cooling the oil down. Just the radiator lol weird i know

    Did you try hitting the guage? My old gauges get hung up, once in a while. A few hard taps with the fingers or hand, snaps then back in place. But oil cooler, would be my prime suspect. I think oil should be 20 degrees hotter than coolant, normally.

    I mean it moves freely no problem, problem is its just getting extremely too hot.

    Have you ever had to use a stop/leak product in that eng.?

    Ive used a little bit before. But that was 2 oil changes ago. Only used 1 small bottle. A quart bottle

    If you used stop leak in the radiator the oil cooler is most likely now plugged/restricted this resulting in your high oil temperatures as there is no/low coolant flow In the oil cooler.

    I used it in the engine. none is the radiaotor
