I have an oil leak on the right side of engine(DD15) against fire wall. IS this my main seal or what? Suggestions?

I know this sounds crazy but check your valve cover for loose bolts.

There are two seals, "Main" seals. One is located at the front of the motor behind the Damper, that big round chunk of metal at the front bottom of the motor which attaches to the crank shaft, the crankshaft makes your pistons go up and down. The seal is locate behind that damper in the block. That is your front seal.

The rear seal is is at the other end of the crankshaft, where your transmission attaches to your motor. You need to drop the transmission to get to it.

Odds are you have a leak at the valve cover, or you could have more serious issues and are leaking oil at the exhaust manifold.

I would inspect with a flashlight, crawl up there and look, see if you can see where it is coming from. If you are unsure, power wash the area, run the truck and reinspect.

    About all I can say.

I'm guessing it is a valve cover or cam frame.

    Hye Thanks this.

Top or lower section of the engine? If the top then it can be from your cam frame or the rear cam frame plugs and your head gasket can leak from the passenger side rear corner.

Rear main seal would make oil leak out into the bell housing (where the clutch is). If its leaking from above there, I'm 99% certain it wouldn't be the rear crank seal.

Yeah, if its not the rear main or the bell housing where else could it be?
