oilchange trans and ????

    hi my question is,now i have my columbia with c 13 ,363k,in this time i only was doing every 12k my oilchange nothing more,now iam thinking to change every oil in my truck what oil i have to change iam not a mechanic i go in the shop for this,somebody can tell me what is to change.transmissionoil and what more.and how much yo think is for all this to pay ,whit a full synthetic oil.Thanks for you answers

    If you are going to run synthetic in the engine I would extend that out more than 12,000 miles, run synthetic in the transmission and rears and change every 250,000 miles.

    i run mobil delvac in my oilchange, i only thinking full synthetic in the transmission and rears.how much is this for changing the oil for transmission and rears.

    Good question, I would check with Speedco, they have a $300 special I believe on changing all the fluids, I am thinking of getting done myself as I too just got a Columbia w/380K on it.

    P.S,

    I am not sure what Speedco charges, but I have been to 2 so far and their prices are very reasonable. I got great service and thought very highly of the staff that they had.

    just my 2 cents worth.

    I have a 2006 Freightliner Century Detroit 12.7 former Schneider Truck. They used Synthetic Oil Mobil Delvac but i dont agree on a 50,000 mile oil change! I started using Shell Rotella non synthetic and 1 gallon of Lucas Oil Satabilizer. Could tell the difference right away. I do a oil change every 15,000. I will go synthetic on the tranny and the rears. Thats what i do.

    I go 50,000 on both rears & trans. syth blend on trans 85/140 on rears. mystic jt 7 & jt 8

    You mean you change you rear and trans every 50K that would be a waste of oil

    What I am wondering and makes me curious is adding Lucas Oil Stablizer, 1 gal seems too much, I was considering just adding a qt with my next oil change.

    Any suggestions?

    I have a Detroit Diesel.
