I took both of my daughters with me in the truck.

It was a Saturday and I was just running about 100 miles up to load then bringing it back to the house to deliver on Monday. The ride up there was fine. They got bored while waiting to load and it only took 30 min. About half way back they started fighting. When they seat belted to the couch 72 inches behind you it makes it hard to reach back and smack them. (and they knew I could not reach them) I looked back at them and said "that's it I am stopping and leaving you both on the side of the road". As soon as I hit the jakes and started slowing down they got quiet...... I did not hear another sound out of them the rest of the way home. They were 11 and 12 at the time

Couple of weeks ago, I had a delivery just inside the beltway in Atlanta. Appt time was 4AM. The street goes from four to two lanes just before the facility. I hit the two-lane section, looking for a sign or a driveway in the darkness. On my left, I see what appears to be a driveway entry, complete with curbs curving in. Right above it, I see trailer taillights. I slow to a crawl, not wanting to miss this place, and start my turn. Not a driveway. Rather, a large grassy embankment. The taillights were indeed a trailer, but for one that was parked for the night in the corner of the lot.

Get backed up, look a bit further down, and there is the sign, planted firmly behind a bush. My first after thought was "Ya know, that DID seem like a bit of a steep driveway...."....

No we don't. We do some brainless stuff, just like anyone else, but hitting things isn't one of them.

All of us have done this: went the wrong way on the interstate. For 50 miles. Thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster for my Garmin, he alerts me right away when I have a brain fart.

Did you know, it doesn't matter how shiny and fancy your rig is, cops will still write you a ticket for driving it down Rodeo Drive?

Shaggy, SheepDog, Warren Earp and 2 others Thank this.
