I did this a long time ago and so I guess my memory could be failing me.....but I thought all that happened was when I stepped on the brake pedal the truck exhausted air somewhere....protection valve I think?

    Recent mistakes made by me:

    Yesterday 0230
Pulled into truck stop west of houston..downed two jalapeno hot dogs with mustard and chilli faster than a death row inmate right before they pull the switch. Chased with a quart of arnold palmer and a 32oz high caffine coffee

    Mistake 2

Hitting the exit ramp to the frontage road and rapidly exiting the vehicle faster than rats off a burning ship. To leap the farmers fence in search of a "safe haven" all the while forgetting im in texas and they have:

    A.cactus
    B.fireants

Had my boots on ..made it past the cactus......but you aint beatin the ants....that #### hurts...lol :)

You would notice a issue the moment you tried to push the trailer brake knob in.

Couple years ago I came off the road for a local gig, backed into my first trailer of the day and high hooked it, we hauled cardboard boxes so it wasn't too bad cranking her up dropping air bags and getting out to rehook, that afternoon on my second run I backed under the next trailer and stopped to check my height, not gonna high hook it again, everthing is good, hook lines and crank up landing gear and start to pull away from the door, dropped the trailer on my drives. Crank this one up and finish backing into the pin. When I have a bad day I do my best to make it memorable !

I guess next time you just have to keep your head down close to the ignition switch so your neck strap won't break the new one?

I can say that since it's been a few months since the last time leaving an unload and forgetting to lock the trailer tandems.

Unrelated, but your story made me think of this article.

Here's a fresh one: Starting before dawn, I had a 3 hr drive from the yard to the customer's.
About 2 miles from the shipper the sun's out so I reach down to turn off the lights,,,, and turn off the truck.

    While pulling through an intersection.

    "Here's your sign":withstupid:
