What everyone saw was a complete heel turn. He was like night and day. In the beginning, he was so impressionable and soaking up info. Bits of bad luck, much of it self inflicted, and he became jaded. My thought after reading this thread is that there are a large number of drivers that are like him. They go into trucking without having a clue about the industry and thinking that they will get rich very quickly. I've just never heard of anything worth having coming quickly. You get one lucky, occasional outlier, who got to a good spot quick, and everyone wants the same path, when in reality, most of us have to take the long hard path. It's like paying attention to social media. The things that go viral seem to be organic, but people really try to force viral content down everyone's throats. Admittedly, I found ole boy somewhat entertaining. If he had just stayed in Chicago, and stuck it out with Schnieder, his path as a trucker would at the very least be on the uptick. Remember future drivers, experience is the most valuable thing to have as a driver.

Not to mention the idea of taking the summer off and finding a job was ridiculous especially with the little experience he had.
