Yeah. I've been doing a lot of research too and for what it's worth I've never heard a bad thing about HO Wolding. The only negative I have ever heard is sometimes you will have some low mileage weeks but I've heard that about pretty much everybody. Wolding is small (350 trucks or so) compared to a mega carrier like Schneider (10,000 + trucks) but I have heard they are a lot more personal because of that.
The pro to Schneider is they are very large "mega" carrier and there are a lot of different options (dedicated, inter-modal etc...) once you have some experience. Also have many facilities all over the country. The con is they are a very large mega and sometimes can't seem to keep track of what is going on sometimes like where their trailers are when you need an empty. The old one hand doesn't know what the other is doing syndrome.
Lot's of good info on this site to try and make a decision. Good luck.
Ok Narrowed down to Schneider or H O Wolding?

The only thing I know about the two...........
HO Wolding seems to be a great company to work for and I have only heard good things. Now if you are looking to get a good start and move on I have heard Scheiders training program is really good. -
Well spoke with Carol at HOW and I'm out, she informed me that when they realized I was east of Fayetteville instead of west that cut me out. She did tell me to keep checking back.......that stinks tho.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
That sucks man. Is it worth moving?
I plan to move once I hire on somewhere because there is NO freight near my home, ever. There is no company that could get me home regularly.Chinatown Thanks this. -
Knight dry van division would be good; they have a drop lot in Las Vegas.
Earl Henderson Trucking Co. hires from most places. There's a few dead zones they don't hire from. They hire from Las Vegas also.Last edited: Jun 24, 2015

Averitt has gotten me home on more than 90% of the weekends. The only time I haven't was out of their control. Have you tried them?

Have u looked at MCT? Been here almost three yrs and its not bad. Its got its highs and lows. All of our Tractors have APU,s and Inverters installed from the Factory. Payscale is alittle higher than what u posted except no quarterly bonus'. U do get bonus after 10,000 miles in a month. I hit that mark about 60/70% of the time. They do offer tution reimbursement. I,d rate it a B+ here, a few more changes and I,d consider calling it home.

What is the starting pay at MTC?
