LOL a topic on this board I am an expert at, hair that is, lol.
I've been a barber my entire adult life. Guys with long hair have always been my best clients, why you ask? Because guys with long hair come in every month or two for a trim, know exactly what they want, usually buy some products to keep the hair neat, shiny and in order, and the repeat religiously.
Keeping your hair tied back tight, while using a good pomade or gel to keep the stragglers and fuzz ups in check, and use a hair tie every two or three inches along your tail to keep it in check, that to me still looks professional despite it's length.
Don't be that guy who asks to have it all cut off, then come back in two weeks sad as hell because "Samson lost his strength" and his girl hates his hair, and now he can see the bald spot forming on his crown and is now considering hair replacement' DON"T BE THAT GUY!!!
Keep the hair, nothing is more important than being happy, if your hair makes you happy keep it.
If anyone needs some hair care tips, I think I know a guy lol -

Just present a sharp, clean, professional appearance and attitude, and you will be fine. I just met a Glass guy a few weeks ago who has hair down to his butt. However, he does not have it all frayed out all over the place-especially while he is working, possibly dangerous. He keeps it back, and neat. Not a word said, he told me when asked about how orientation was for him with his hair.

I had to help a customer out one time, taking a split load and help load another truck from another carrier. I had to deal with a guy from the other carrier with hair down to his butt, he wasn't a hippy but something I deem worse - Rastafarian. I know you may think that they are all like this guy but I've worked with a few who were clean and well groomed but this guy never took a shower or wore clean clothes, his hair was disgusting. Again most of them are not like this guy but he used it as an excuse when the customer compllained that she can smell him in her office across the warehouse, he went off on a tirade about fairness and something about Marley and so on. I got to tell you I could smell him when he pulled into the dock.
So the moral of the story is, keep your hair clean, don't act as if everyone has to accept you and do a good job for the customer so they may ask for you to come back. -

hey, it's cool, the way I've always told it over the years is as follows, "You can always spot the happy guy in a club, He's the one who doesn't fic his hair in the mirror after he washes his hands."
long hair short hair it doesn't matter as long as you like it, keep it clean, it's all good in my book.
I would reccomend getting a slight trim, maybe just a quarter inch off the ends just to even everything up and cut out any split or damaged ends, but hey thats me lol
