So great Saturday I get the call they finally done, but I'm in route for my regular home time and oh on the way there my leg decides to flame up in pain, this happens every now and then to me. But super anxious to get my truck backi. Hoping by end of the day my leg will be better but who knows.
Anyhow now the main reason, so what do I expect with a rebuilt motor? Should I expect better fuel economy? More power etc...
And yes my understanding pretty much lots of new parts cylinder liners, piston rings gaskets etc....just super anxious to get it back hopefully Friday or Saturday
Ok the rebuild is done...

Depends on the performance upgrades. If it’s the same as the last build, expect the same performance before the blow by wear…

Then economy will improve. I have heard 30 to 50k miles for break in.Opendeckin and Oxbow Thank this. -
Do not baby it put it under a load as soon as you can and let it work.
shanman, D.Tibbitt, Opendeckin and 1 other person Thank this. -
Keep your idle time to a minimum for at least the first 50 hours. Be especially careful with idle time if the engine temperature is low. Try to change the oil by 10k miles because there’s going to be a lot of fine metal particles in it from seating the rings and don’t run any type of oil additive for maybe 30k.

I have heard to flog it at the start, I would be putting some weight behind it and finding some hills.

Break it in how you will drive it.
