Old CDL Class A

    I went to truckdriving school to up grade from class B to class A when I was laid off last year. The company I worked for said they would give me the oppertuinty to drive their semi! Well that did not happin I drove strait truck. now i'm laid off again tell next spring I have allmost 20 years strait truck experince good driving record and the trucking Indrusty won't hire me with out going to a refresher course? the problem with that is the course is the same price as truckdriveing school is there any company that would consider hiring me! Any help would be Greatly apperciated.

    There are expediting fleet owners in your area that would hire you to drive a straight truck . The pay can be better than driving a semi . You don't worry about delays loading and unloading , restacking pallets , or any of that . Check with Panther or FedEx Custom Critical

    I went to school and started driving in 97, I drove for a year and then went back to factory work for 3 years. When I decided to come back I made a few calls and nobody would touch me due to the lapse in driving. My break came in the form of beer, so I drove a beer truck for 6 months and moved on. The options are there if you look hard enough, good luck
