Been out of the truck since 2015 because, well... I got sick of the BS. ELD's, choked down trucks, etc. I'm pretty sure it hasn't gotten any better. I got into the HVAC/R industry and was working for an ice company as a refrigeration mechanic when they let me go a couple of weeks ago. Almost nobody in that field is hiring right now so I am thinking that I may have to climb back in a truck for the time being. So I have over 20 years of experience and a clean MVR with all endorsements. Last 10 or 12 years was all tanker, last 5 or 6 of that was pulling a fuel tanker. I still talk to some of the guys I used to work with hauling fuel. That hasn't gotten any better either from what I've been told by those guys. I'm about 1.5 hrs. from Atlanta, about an hour from Macon. Would like to find something where I can be home every day but wouldn't be opposed to running regional. Any suggestions?

Abilene Motor Express will probably hire you. They offer regional or OTR and trucks run 72 mph.
Abilene hires drivers that have been off the road for years. -
Maybe check with APC Tomahawk. Some of those guys cover some ground and get back home. If they want to work.
cajun Thanks this. -
Thanks for the tip. I was thinking that APC was all O/O, do they have company trucks too?

I just know some people driving APC trucks that do not own them. All APC terminals are not doing exactly the same thing. The one I mentioned hauls some jet fuel. One drop to the air port.
cajun Thanks this.
