One of the biggest things that’s kept me from seriously considering UPS is the inability to transfer to other locations. I don’t know where I want to live, and I appreciate how easily I can transfer and try different places within FedEx Freight.

if you move to Ohio for UPS, I hope you like it because it’s a long term commitment.

They won’t force you to stay, I am living proof of that. You can move to another city and start at the bottom of their board if they are hiring off the street and you will get preferential hiring status. Many other companies besides UPS that honor seniority don’t allow you to take it with you from one city to another. I agree with that practice as it isn’t fair to those working at a location to have someone from the other side of the country come in and bump you down a spot. This is strictly my opinion and you have the right to disagree. At UPS you keep your original hire date for vacation accrual and pension purposes if you hire in at another city. I don’t remember if you hire back in at full rate or not.

Teams. But if you can't find a teammate, what can ya do?

Some of these team guys come in making more than I do at scale. Lol team pay is ridiculous. I'm happy for them.

They had a bid. Went home few hours a day. They should be doing alright if he is still there.

I probably won’t take it, it’ll be a hard pillow to swallow that I passed up on a FT Feeder Position off the street. May not happen down here where I’m from in the south.

I wish I could transfer, I know they’re against hardship transfers.

I have my girl, she has more experience with doubles then I do. I wish would get on with UPS sleepers but we would have to go out of state for it.
