    Hello, My question is about past experience. I drove for three years from 1999-2002. I since have had driving experience for only about 3 months each time in 2004 and 2006. Will companies hire me and put me with a trainer or will I have to go to a school. I have always pulled double trailers and I would need to learn how to back a 53 ft trailer for sure but I dont feel I would need extensive training and don't really want to pay for school. I was thinking about driving again next spring and would appreciate any help with these questions. My safety record is clean. Thanks

    Your best source of info would be to start calling companies and asking them. Even at that you are going to get different responses. Good luck!

    I went through the same thing, and found it impossible to get hired (EVEN AT WERNER AND SWIFT). I had to go through a Truck driver training course AGAIN.
