Old hand ( new to looking for a job)

I hear ya! It is always a scary time to be looking for a new job, but I know it is not made any easier by the bad economy right now. I understand your being picky, and that's your choice, we all try to be and like you I don't job hop. Never good to fill out an application and have to remember all those jobs for the last ten years. I have three right now to remember, soon it will be down to two. Good Luck in finding a good Large car Job.

 

Well I guess this goes back to the "you are responsible for your posts" thing. But I also thought that to an extent, this board was to help people too. So is there a way I can find out about this on my own? That way no one can get hassled for "slander" or any such thing? Just like you all said, I know I am young, but I dont want to job hop. I need a stable company to support my family. I have an interview to drive a limo for a casino, however, back to the economy issue......... I dont know what the best choice would be. I cant find any info about Bhandal at USDOJ, but Lasher popped right up and dudes are looking at some serious time..... Am I even more on fire by assuming that maybe the Bhandals indictment hasnt yet been handed down? I'm really in the dark here.....

 

The scuttlebutt is that there are more than a handful of immigrant/minority owned trucking companies, mainly based in California and Washington, that have been doing some shady business in regards to the IRS. Lasher Brothers is only the first of what is expected to be a dominoe effect. Like I said, that is the scuttlebutt. I can't give you facts as to who the other companies are although I have heard several.

Take it as unsubstantiated rumors, because technically, that's what it is. But since I trust completely the credibility of my source, I think it is a whole lot more than rumors.

 

You seem to know alot about them? What articles? I searched every where don't see a single one about them.....accept for your accusations?

Show me the article, Ill believe you, until than, please keep your "gossip" on the down low their is no basis for any of it...

Look Fella's, Last thing I want is a fight. Really. I'm not another "keyboard cowboy" Just some things about this that arent fitting together.

 

I don't have to show you anything. I stated my point clearly and concisely. Just because you don't happen to like what I have to say about your employer, doesn't give you the right or the ability to ATTEMPT to shut me up.

Then take the info I offered with a grain of salt. Wouldn't that be the logical thing to do? If you can't substantiate information that you read/hear, then it simply qualifies as a rumor. Take it as such, and be on your merry way to go work for whomever you like.

For the record; I did NOT say that all minority owned companies were involved, neither did I imply such.

 

Well I tried to find out the truth by asking you to post the links to the articles you said were available. I did a bit of searching because of the other poster as well. Got shadow games played by him "so warm you're on fire". Then your articles that cant be produced turns to some other "source". I guess it was stupid of me to even worry about it anyway. Because in this economy a pay check is a pay check while it lasts. My kids have to eat. Any company at any time could be in trouble with the IRS. Hopefully IF they ever end up there, they can fix the issue and keep all those people employed. And me too!
