His 1974 ROAD COMMANDER for $25,600.00 in 1976 would cost $106,666.67 today

I wish I knew how to enlarge this pic,but here's one of my old trucks.1977 IH Eagle 4300,NTC-350,RTO12513 Reyco,34" crawl through 5 color paint. Was just a shade under 40k when I bought it new,I traded in a 69 CO4070A,335 Cummins 13 Spd direct.I believe the gave me around 9k for my old hammer, was glad to get rid of it.This pic was from 78.

Man, you are bringing back memories. I rode many a mile with my Grandfather in a cabover Road Commode... Good times!!!

Stop at the two story truckstop for a diesel burger, grease running down your chin while you ate that joker... Good Times!!!

I gave it a quick enlargement, tho old pics like this fade in detail the more they are enlarged. But size does matter. ;)

Took some time to get her wound up, but once you did she moved right along. A friend of mine had probably 10-15 leased to B&P (Baltimore and Pittsburgh) Ran out of Canton to Chicago. Back in the day those gas jobs would give a 335 or 350 a good run for its money up on the Toll Road.

I can relate. The pic is me in my grandfather's Intl Transtar in the 1970's. Loved every minute/mile I spent in that truck!
