I looked real good through the southeast Truck paper this week. There’s some decent prices out there. They may even be dropping a bit. Lots of high prices too. Seemed to be a lot of wishful thinkers hoping to cash in. 12 pages of By Owner. Quite a bit. I hear a lot of first time buyers complain about finding junk only. I think they expect a lot. Can’t help thinking of all the 99 Classics that were for sale 12 yrs ago for under 20k. Saw a few for $13k. Could’ve been easily had for 11k. I opted for a Truck I’d be happy with for yrs. $22k. Now it’s worth 2-2.5x that amount. It’s crazy.

I wish I’d bought a new 53 Stoughton. Available in March 2020 for $34k. I could sell my old 08 Trailmobile now at Auction for $15k. Paid $11k 5 yrs ago.

    That's pretty. Flat roof though...
One of the many reasons I'm grateful that I'm no longer in the car hauler is the luxury of being able to stand up straight to put on my pants.

Sorry; meant to reply to a different message

    LOL.
It’s worse condition wise. I purposely bought a turd. I always wanted to revive an FLD. Didn't want to have a payment. Also wanted to learn how to repair and replace while also driving and making money. So here is my crapbox. Got a long ways to go. But I’m enjoying it.
