I have been off the Rd for 7 years now working for the state of Tn as a CDL instructor for new hires. I was wandering if anyone can tell me how the Shipex company is from SLC Utah is to drive for. I know what there website says and what the recruiting team has given me. Any thoughts on them or getting back on the Rd and who with tks everyone and stay safe.

Put "ShipEx" in the search feature on here; there's quite a few posts about the company.

I've hauled many loads of Bush Beans from Chestnut Hill. That's a good shipper and all the workers there are easy to get along with.

I know exactly where that it, I live about half hour away from there. I have picked up many times from there and they are great people. I would want to be home often but our kids are grown now so home Every couple of weeks is ok, just need to spend time with grandkids now lol. Just trying to find a company that is somewhat straight forward with u up front. I know that's hard to do lol any ideas

The problem I seem to have is, I've not been otr since 2009. I have been with the state of Tn TDOT in particular, but we have a program that teaches all new hires to get class a CDL and I am one of the instructors, if I can teach everything there is to know about getting your CDL to someone, then why do I have to spend 4 weeks with a trainer when I could do a pre-trip and air brake check better than that person but only get a few hundred dollars a week for training. I'm just not with that concept lol

Burkhart Enterprises in Knoxville. They pull some pneumatic trailers also and some other stuff.
Mack trucks with sleepers. Operate 35 to 40 over the road trucks powered by late model Mack power units. Trailers include end dumps, with roll tarps, Van-go covered flatbeds, standard flatbeds, pneumatic tank trailers for dry bulk material, standard van trailers & extendable flatbeds.
