For a longhood you could probably find somebody to pay with some work done to it, a little shorthood like that one, good luck.

I still don't see the obsession everyone has with the long hoods. I'd only ever consider an older one if it had a 3408 crammed under it.

They look better, compare a regular 379 to an extended hood. You'd have to go back to the 80s maybe the early 90s to find a v8 kitty in one, would be neat though.

ELD wouldn't make me pass up on an otherwise perfect truck. I don't plan on running illegal anyway. If I'm doing that I'm working too hard lol. Exempt from emmisions and eld would be a major plus though no doubt.

I'm not really trying to flip it for a profit. They way I look at it it is better to put 60k into a 20k truck that will now be worth at least 40k. Long hoods have a cult following like Toyota trucks.

A full service lease will be at least 3k a month brand new truck will be at least 3000 a month. Nothing at the end of the 3 year lease 97k gone away.
Say I bought a brand new w900l for 159,999. 10% app for 48months is 176000 for a truck that will be worth about 80k. So I would be out at least 95k more with maintenance tires etc.

I will need more money to start out if I buy a used one though. I would have to get a class a job for like a year to save up more money. 20k truck with 30k saved up for repairs initially and pray I don't need a brand new engine within the first 6 months.

Find yourself an older truckwith a pretty freshly rebuilt engine that isn't the most beautiful thing in the world and then do what you want with it paint wise.

You can't make money when the truck is being fixed. You can't always control what, when and where it breaks.

Another trend I've been seeing on the rise is people swapping there favorite pre emissions motors into 2 or 3 year old trucks. Ok I guess if your a gambling man. A few I have seen had reconstructed titles which supposedly exempts them from emissions standards. Certainly sounds tempting.
