Buy what you want, that's in your price range, that's not a complete pos, and dont worry about anybody else's opinion. Consider it your storefront, you want it to look like some flea infested hole in the wall that might give you an "exotic" disease? That's the way I look at it anyway, but what do I know?

I would much rather do that then buy new

I’m not saying you shouldn’t spend and improve a Truck. IMO cheaper than new ones. I took that same advise “Buy what you want so your happy with it.”My Father told me that back when buying first Truck.I had a lot of anxiety and wanted to be practical. Instead I bought what I liked. Resale etc really didn’t matter in the endStrokerTSi and rabbiporkchop Thank this.

Preferrably something you can pay cash for so you arent busting your ### just to make payments and can take time off pretty much whenever you want. You can throw a big pile of money at a used truck for what new costs and have a nicer truck if you ask me.kenn2632 and Rideandrepair Thank this.

I like the looks of that Cabover but don’t miss the ride or hassle of getting around in it. I remember the Freightliners had a small area to stand in bunk to get dressed!! Everyone thought that was Great!!! Wouldn’t be bad on local runs home every night.tommymonza Thanks this.

I know a guy has couple pete cabovers that he's fixed up pretty nice and uses to pull cattle a bit, they look nice but I wouldn't want to drive them. Know another guy who does tractor repair has an old mack cabover that he uses to go get stuff that needs fixed and haul a little grain when he does a little custom harvesting.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

That’s any old Truck though. You just did it all at once. I’ve done about same or will Be soon over 10 yrs while running Truck. I think it’s worth it to do all at once if you can.Either way it’s Cheaper in the long run if you plan on keeping it.Looking at my #s over last 10 yrs tells the story. Was offered $20 k a few months ago. I paid $21k 10 yrs ag
fcourse inflation factors into that. I’m gonna keep it And probably spend $30 k over next 3 yrs. Still way ahead of game. Mainly because I like the Truck
