If you found a beat to death A model, and someone gave it to you. You could put 30k into it and if you drove it to a truck show you would definitely get your 30k back.
Older trucks with highest resale value.

not really trying to get all my money back. but putting 60k into a truck I bought for 10k and it still being worth 10k is not what Im trying to do lol. That doesnt really even matter because I should be making money with it anyway. Im thinking about this old one owner freightliner pre eld.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

I’ve Owned 2 Freightliners 1 99 for 8 yrs, Had my first Wreck with it and did it real good. Now have had my 01 for almost 11 yrs. I like the Classic not looking for resale as I keep Trucks a long time. But if buying with resale in mind KW or Pete only way to go.Too many Shakers still around. Dime a dozen

There's some guy around here with a 2007 freighliner classic with c15 and an 18 speed, the crazy bugger thinks it's worth 50k.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Resale is not my main focus this post was just so I would know what trucks to look out for. I wouldn't pass up an otherwise perfect truck because of resale value.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

My brother bought a nice A model back in the spring for $6,000. New brakes and tires is all he’s had to do. Down side is it has a 1693 Cat, not a bad engine but thirsty. He mostly just uses it to haul grain 3 months of the year.
