Sodrel Trucking has been around since 1915 running mostly day cabs now. Hauls mail and has a small freight division. Plus coaches and school busses. Has a 5 digit dot number in the 50k range. Decent company to work for. Local to central and southern Indiana.

RAYLOC RMDS NAPA is an active carrier operating under USDOT Number 3774 and MC Number 168488.

You don't see many four digit DOT Numbers running around these days

Mawson and Mawson. Oldest MC# still extant. All flatbed, all sidekit wagons.

Decent enough carrier, an unfortunate amount of Aluminum freight (cheap). They'll run you just as hard as you want, and a bit harder. Loose leaf paper logs, 65mph trucks. Mostly O/O, about 10% company trucks. Cascadia midroof tractor, DD15 motor, 10 speed manuals.

This seems like an interesting topic so I'm resurrecting it. Does anybody have a list of the oldest numbers still active? I'd be pretty interested in a database with every number ever issued with date of instatement and status. Might have some interesting information.

Something that interesting, it would be worth the time contacting the people who issue dot numbers and asking for a database like you describe. I believe you can get it under the right to know or some act like that that allows noemal citizens acess to documents all across the government.
