Last job app, I skipped one stupid 1099 job and it seemed to have no effect and I'm currently working.

The safest thing is to list all the jobs.
Hiding anything makes it look like you were trying to hide something, and that scares employers.
Trucking companies know they have a high turnover, so they are generally more interested in getting a good driver with a clean record, and hope they stay at least as long as average lol
I assume you just went to school to get your CDL?
That shows that you have invested in this career, and can stick to something, so some aborted jobs shouldn't be the deciding factor.
I also assume that you have had some longer term jobs? -

Gaps they get picky.....never got that BTW.... Oh we aren't going to hire this guy....he knows how to manage money and doesn't live paycheque to cheque. ::eyerolls::
Idiots.
Never had any problems. One company kept asking me for tax returns and I kept Trumping them....how bout you show me YOURS!!! None of your business xD -
Companies are required to do a background check. They do not do the background check because they want to do it and are nosy. They do it because the DOT audits and fines them if they don't do it. Office workers for Trucking companies are some of the laziest folks around. They only do the minimum.
The point is no one is judging you. Most companies have such a high turnover rate that they will take anyone with a pulse so long as they can check the little boxes the government makes them check.
I hire felons who have spent time in prison. I want someone who can live in a small place, away from home for long periods of time, and just enjoys the freedom of the road. Someone who gets the job done without having to rely on someone laying out all the rules for them. Do I care what their past is? No. I care what their future is. I look for someone who is wanting to improve their place in life because if they refuse to settle for less, they help the company grow.
Understand, you earn every dime you make in this industry. Companies are not giving you anything. Don't work cheap.fargonaz Thanks this.
