Most companies won’t hire you if you did not attend a class.
In her situation I would highly recommend company sponsored training.
She will be fed and housed which it seems she is in desperate need of.
If they do not supply 3 meals a day, my wife and I will send her what she needs to eat while in school.

    Texas_hwy_287 and CousinVinny Thank this.

Yeah you have to swear and defend the constitution and promise not to abuse prostitutes and homeless people.

Close enough. It’s not like she’s going to be worse then what’s out there.

Hell she has every chance to be 10 times better.

In the Sacramento area there are a lot of driving opportunities. The big part is to get the CDL.
As pointed out, check with the state employment agency for job training programs.

I just opened this and saw something about the homeless and prostitutes. I'm cracking up and can't wait to see the original post and what it's in reference to. I thought truckers were supposed to stay between the lines, that sounds way off track. Haha

Good advice, thank you. I do have a license but my birth certificate and ss were taken with my trailer. As stated, I've lost all family and friends, but had an offer by someone just now, close to my children, who gave me options to a possible school there and she said that there may be a trainer who has a pup too that wouldnt mind mine coming for the 6-8 weeks otr. I'd never leave my girl in a room that long which is why I pondered options of my boy coming along. I knew it was a long shot but I'm thinking of all possibilities to make it happen, because when I want something, I'll find a way :) and, if by chance, I can't live my "fantasy" of having my dog around, I'll look at other options :) I don't mind leaving her but won't leave her for more than a day. That's just how it is and what I need to adjust my life to. It may prolong finding security and my "transient" Status but I know it's not permanent and I can wait.
