True. I doubt many people log it as they do it. If I did id have a fudged up looking log for that 10 hours lol.

at transam we are told go off duty for at least 15 minutes but not over 2 hours before we go to the sleeper
even personal convience leaving a shipper bobtail all counts towards 10 off apparently good enuf for the elog to be happy

Off duty is off duty, whether it's line 1 Off Duty, line 2 Sleeper Berth, or line 1 Off Duty while using a CMV under the Personal Conveyance provision. As long as you don't go to line 3 or line 4 within those 10 hours, the term of the break are satisfied.

However it's generally a good company policy to require your drivers to log at least 8 hours of sleeper following PC. That way when you're getting your pants sued off it's easier to defend in court, but only because opinion counts there.

I used to have "off duty driving" available to me on the elogs but after it updated it took it away. I only used it for bobtailing, still sucks lol

Did they remove it as a company? I would think so, I know it was frowned upon when I was there.

Its only for o/o's now. My trainer was a lease purchase operator and he still uses off duty driving since he uses the truck for personal use while on hometime

if i'm on a cross country trip. my shifts are one session. all they are looking for is that your not over hours. and no one has questioned about my 10's. which is when i fuel mostly, shower and eat.

other then load, unload, and level 3's most times i don't flag anything else.

now you noticed i said MOST.

Incorrect. You must log it, however you may just flag it as it is a very short period of time.
