good luck to you guys... remember the sources of horror stories and stuff like that. It is what you make of it and use the training companies for what they are... keep your license clean and never, never let anybody hurry you... ever. Safety first and keep a good following distance always.... trucking is trucking and all jobs have there ups and downs. Good luck.

Thank you, Demi! I am looking forward to starting training and will be soaking up the knowledge like a sponge. I've been picking up little tidbits here and there and so far the most important have been 1) ARRIVA ALIVE! and 2) GOAL (Get Out And Look). And I will remember to Never, never let anyone rush me, ever! Thanks again! I have 2 days before take-off so I'm going to get back to studying for the Indiana state test and the general knowledge. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Wow! I wouldn't mind being in a small class like that. Seems like you would get more time behind the wheel. Two down and one to go for you now, huh! How did you do this week? How many females in your class besides yourself?

Ah.... New beginnings! The serpitine back will mess with you, but in all reality... It is easy. Play it all over in your head to get a good mental picture... Evenif something is tough, then embrace the challenge, etc. To be successful in this biz, you will need to develope a sixth sense, meaning- trust your gut feeling. If something isn't right, then it probably isn't. You will get better over time, but never feel like you know it all.... It may be tough for a while, but keep your license clean and a good employment record & good days will come. Enjoy Truckette.

Don't worry about the money! As a husband/wife team you guys will be making gobs of it!!! I drove team with my wife and we did very, very well! The money though is just an added benfit, the memories and adventures you guys will have will far out weigh any money you make out there! Will last a lot longer too!

When choosing companies, make sure to find a larger company or a company that will keep a team busy. The larger the company the more trailers, the more trailers the more drop and hook! This = more miles/money you guys will make!

Holler at me if you need anything! I have no shortage of stories/advice for husband/wife teaming!

    Good luck to you guys!

CenturyClass, we're jsut taking it one step at time right now. Once we get that year in we'll start looking into other places. We live right off of 76E and I see a lot of Conway trucks going by. Some of them are doubles. I'm wanting to learn to be very versatile, so I guess doubles will be in my future. Maybe through Conway! My husband can do it all!

Go sit at one of the rest stops and check out the trucks that comes and go. Maybe you will run into a friendly husband/wife team you can talk with!

Imo, you have the right attitude. Do the year and wave bye. Pam has some of the lowest team pay around. Would not surprise me if you make 70k together. But, there is good money in teaming once you get experience.
