Have you looked into CDL College in Aurora? I went through them and it worked out great for me. They are open 7 days a week and you can go all day or if you have a job go when you can or weekends. Any questions send me a PM.

Thanks for the info, but for now, I'm looking into a company that might take me despite lacking a civilian school.

So if anyone cares, I ended up getting a job driving over the road 4 days a week, home for 3 with pretty decent pay. It's a dedicated run, which includes NYC. I know most people hate NYC, but I like the challenge and I think if you can drive there, you're good to go just about anywhere. So no civilian school, no prior civilian experience (all military), and I made it happen. Lucky I guess. Oh, and it's not TMC, even though after a lot of persuasion, I convinced them to hire me. But 1 day after I scheduled my orientation, I got an offer from the job I'm currently at. Was a better deal.

Crete Carrier has a military program for folks who drove tractor trailers in the military to convert over to civilian trucks. If you want to know more it's on their website.
