He should of let that infraction go especially if you caught your mistake. At least you know what to expect next time.

It's not unlimited, just so you know. For my alley dock I was allowed 2 pull-ups and 2 goals. I used 4 pull-ups which cost me 2 points. You are allowed 12 points total between all 3 maneuvers. If you hit one cone, it's inevitable you'll hit several, at a cost of 2 points each. Spend your points wisely. The offset lane change is WAY different than Bill's course. You have a lot less room. You will need to turn sharper and sooner.

Another issue I discovered about testing in my state (Ky.) is that I cannot shift in intersections. As I'm sure you're aware of, staying in 3rd to turn is going to be too slow IMO. I'm afraid the light will turn red! Lol!! In all seriousness, I'll have to change some of my habits now to avoid possible points, or worse, failing.

You are overthinking your test. Your examiner will answer any questions you have before you begin the test. If you are ALLOWED to start in 3rd, be grateful. If you can't shift during a turn or during an intersection they will tell you before you start. If you are in motion and the light turns yellow as you are passing under it, keep going. You cannot legally be failed for that.

There is a spot in Union NJ that has a green light exiting a warehouse facility that literally has a 5 second green light. I am not joking. At some point you have to say "f this" and go. No cop in the world could ticket you for that.

I totally understand what you are saying. Bill had his evaluation last Friday from the state of Ohio. He had me drive, and there was an intersection I had to "claim" or I would never get a chance to go. The Ohio official told Bill he understood why I did it, but that it's not the "proper" way of doing it, but if you don't go, you never will. I could literally had set there all day and never went anywhere if I did it the "correct" way.

So here's the deal...before you start rolling on your road test, express your concerns and ask questions as far as expectations for performance. Your examiner will answer those questions before you start. I am quickly learning that Bill doesn't know nearly as much as he thinks he does.

Thanks for the advice. I'll be sure to ask all the questions I have before I start.
