Congrats! That is awesome! We want pics of the new truck once you have it... maybe even a video tour inside and out... as issued. Good luck, now you can take the road as a well earned CDL driver, have fun!

Verified. I called the BMV today, the branch where I took the exam for my permit. They issue hard copies, and you can get them at any branch in Ohio. $45. Hopefully I'll get routed near one soon.

To all of those who just got out of class, and to those who read this in the future...be prepared for a long haul out with your trainer. My 15k has turned into over 17k, and Tuesday will make it 8 weeks. I was told that Greg (the guy in charge of the training program) had a special training class he was doing all week and is heading home today, not likely to get back to us until Monday. He has to approve me to get tested out of Perry's truck, and determine which truck I'll be assigned to. Patience will definitely serve you well. I know one thing...when I finally get home I'm staying there for at least a week.

Ya that sucks It literally varies from person to person. I literally rolled into Trenton with 15125 and was in my own truck that day. I also had a buddy that hit almost 20k with with his trainer till they could get him in his own truck lol

    #### that really sucks. Major shortage for trainers though compared to students. Not many people want to train.

That's what I did. Stayed home on purpose for a week and a half to hang with the wife and kid and make a little road money. I'll most likely go back to my old job while I'm home. My wife will be gone during the day anyhow. Money money :)

Well, today has been interesting. Started out relatively normal. Dropped a load in the morning at a Dollar General DC lot. Picked up load of empty beer bottles and dropped them at our West Allis yard. Then deadhead to our Richfield terminal. Here's where it gets fun. We have a short run going to Kentucky, Perry says it's about 25-ish miles from our Trenton yard. Today is Saturday. This load is due Monday morning. We are heading to Trenton tomorrow, so that we are really close to the final stop. I'll be able to test out of Perry's truck before the load gets delivered! Perry isn't very happy about our mileage this week, nor am I, but...our dispatcher is on vacation so it is what it is. I'll potentially be finishing this thread in a few days, FINALLY! AND, there is an additional part of my silver lining. There is a place across the street from this terminal that serves alcohol. And I'm not driving tomorrow. And tomorrow is my birthday. Happy birthday to me, I am enjoying some beer and a shot of Crown. See you all on the flip side. 'Bout to be done with all this, couldn't contain my smile if I tried :)
