Well, from my limited experience so far, I can tell you this...there is definitely some bad stuff, as there is with any job/prefession. This job is a lot of fun. The good definitely outweighs the bad. The good: freedom, independence, beautiful scenery, and good pay (if you are efficient and apply yourself). The bad: traffic jams and fellow truckers that are jerks. And there are plenty of those. Yesterday was my very first solo delivery. I won't lie and say it went smoothly, but I smiled and treated everyone involved with a good attitude and friendly disposition. If you do that, you'll find this job rewarding and enjoyable. If you have a negative outlook on life and let little things ruin your day, you'll hate this job. For every Perry out on the road, there is a @keen98 or a @F150Jim that will encourage you and help you if they can. Remember that, because there are times when other people will bring you down if you let them. Basically, the best and worst part of this job are the people, period. I've met some amazing people so far, both in person and on this site. And to be truthful, I've encountered more good people than bad so far in my travels. Hang on to that and ignore the Perrys. Those people are miserable jerks and destined to have a horrible life. I'll be the first in line to buy any of you a beer if I ever meet you. I'll be the first in line to pee on Perry's grave when he dies.

Sounds like a decent first trip. Jerks are everywhere cb Rambos etc. Some think they have entitlement over other drivers me syndrome ( is what I call it ).

Glad you made it...Perry has been a horrid trainer for ever a person in my class had him. Can't believe Millis turns there head to this issue...they have a great program, the 15k ++driving is the industry best, the company trucks are really nice..

    Again great job.
