On the road with Millis

I'll actually be testing before my 15,000 is done. Perry is encouraging me to do it midway through. I'll be testing in Wisconsin instead of Ohio. I told him to tell me when he feels I'm ready. Then I'll be scheduling my test. That's when the good money will start. Once I have my CDL, we'll be running as a team, so my miles will double

 

I'm doing my best to stay positive and focused. After a week in the truck it is abundantly clear that this was not a great pairing. Oh well, should only be 5 more weeks. Just suck it up, bite my tongue, and focus on the prize. Racked up another 470 miles today. Not sure what my total is exactly, but it's a little over 2k. I would've hit 2500 or better if not for the servicing of the truck last week. Not too shabby. On pace to finish this in 6 weeks.

 

Nahh. I already know this one. Who knows what the next one would be like. I'll stick with the frying pan and forgo the fire.

 

I should clarify something here. Perry is a great trainer and really knows his stuff. He's a nice guy too, it's just that our personalities and views make things a little tense at times. This is a really small area for two people to share for weeks on end, conflicts are gonna happen. My wife is my favorite person on the planet, and my best friend. But if I had to share this space with her for six weeks, she might come up missing lol
