Very good advice... this trucking deal ain't all it's cracked up to be... just look at the one year retention rate at almost any company.

I would stay away from this business if I were you.
Oh, to be 24 again and be able to run like hell away from trucking!

####... You guys have officially put the doubt in me. Now i'm back to not knowing what to do with my life...

I just saw an ad for a sweet gig driving a Fedex van for $800 a week, But it requires commercial driving experience, So I guess that's out of the question.

Doubt is good; it means you've been paying attention.

I'm going into it with a couple of objectives - eventually getting enough experience to get a good local job, and not working for a mega-carrier/BFI along the way. I'm pretty sure I'll get there on the first, not so sure on the second - I'll see how it plays out, and do what I have to do.

You just have to understand that you can't solve all of the problems ahead of time, because you won't even know what all of them are until you run into them.

    Good luck!
