Your right, I wasn't in his shoes or his truck so some of that may, in fact be true. When I initially responded I made a concious effort to make it known that some of the things may have happened to him. I simply find it hard to believe since I have not experienced any of it nor have I heard other drivers make the same complaints. I posted in that post only what I know to be true, or I noted otherwise.

I was not intending to intimidate. I was giving a piece of friendly advice that it may not be a good idea to spread words that you know are blatant lies. Chuck knows he is lying and I believe that to be the reason he has not responded back. If it were me posting what he posted I would certainly rebutt with further evidence to strengthen my case to my peers. By bowing out, he basically told all of us he was lying and wants nothing to do with the conversation now that he has been called out.

Obviously, we all have to make our own judgments about this particular story based on what has been said. Its pretty obvious to anyone with any reasoning skills what the real story is.

With regard to the whole management being able to post discussion, as Mack has said, its obvious the stance management on this site has taken. They wish this to be essentially an internet cb. A place where people can come and tell any story they wish, knowing there are no ramifications. I happen to enjoy the site, it has a purpose. When reading here, one just has to keep in mind, its one sided, which is fine. Its much like following politics, its always one sided and you have to take it with a grain of salt. If you want to hear the other side of the story, you need to go to another place. I can see if a member of management comes here they will just be belittled and called names (stooge) which is rather odd because I was warned by an administrator that name calling is not allowed here??? I have yet to determine what the real position is but I digress.

First of all, when I made the "stooge" statement it was not directed at any other member in particular, so that doesn't count. Nice try.

Second, I happen to know for certain that corrupt terminal managers DO exist, and DO get off on handing out writeups and other manner of disciplinary action to employees for posting on sites like ours. Of course, the employee in question does have to be sort of smart about, like not posting their truck number publicly. But beyond that, that's where I come in. I may not be able to prevent from happening once, but I CAN prevent it from happening again.

We allow drivers, or anyone for that matter, to speak their minds here as they should be able to do at anytime without fear of reprisal from management. Anyone with any questions about this can simply read the warning I posted at the top of this section.

I don't want to have anyone say I'm a "stooge". So I will start off by clearing that up. Seems if you say anything in favor of a company here you will be deemed that way. So I am not. I also drive for this company and have for awhile, Also I know the driver in question. After all of that it seems like if you only want to go to some places and if you will not run in the manner that you should, Or that a team runs when you are one, you lose the right to complain about dispatching! When several solo drivers are killing you in miles per month that doesn't seem right. I have driven for a few companies and love this one. And one thing I have learned in my 10 plus years of driving, Your experience in this job is what you make it. If you only want to go to one place then you will only go to one place. The miles between Phoenix and Dallas are 1,050 miles. There are only so many loads traveling those lanes. So if you want more miles then go more places. I know it sucks, but sometimes you have to go to the Northern Country. This company is a great place and the fact that people are treated like family here is worth saying even if some drivers posting here won't.

If you are happy and the co is happy then no one is a stooge. Glad to hear you enjoy your job. You are right about being willing to be flexible. Especially in a slow time like now. Too many have a comfort zone they refuse to change. May not care for where you are dispatched, but if the money is fair and you need it then take it or shut up.

I just signed on to this forum. I also am a past employee for this company, and know what that driver said was true. I and several others pulled (more than 1) my trucks from this company, and I don't need to explain why, other than all their drivers worked hard! They ALL including the driver spoken about also went other places. When a company does not pay 100% of the fuel surcharge like this company didn't, and a contract was signed for right to refuse a load, the o/o has to decide what pays them the most to survive. When a company wants a truck that they don't "pay for the fuel" go up in the east where fuel prices are over the top, that is when a driver decides whether or not to take the load. If you cannot understand this or don't care that is to bad. When I left this company along with other o/o after me (and there were many) I made more money than I had ever with them. There also were some past employees in dispatch that left, and advising the o/o not to stay either that the company was never going to change. They were right!!!!!! I've said my peace and I don't care who believes it or who doesn't. I don't work for them, and suggest other o/o not to as well.

Ever since they had a company wide layoff in FEB 08, this company has gone down hill. Used to be great place, great people. They went to basically all O/O, ive seen some trucks at the Pilot In PHX. One day i was there and saw 2, then was like WOW, theres like 7 bobtails with Ontime Express sitting in the lot. This was sometime early this year. Not good. Its a shame.

You are right Jerzee use to be a great place to work. Until the dispatchers knew they had control over all the drivers, including o/o. The bad thing of it is they ignored the contracts and as you can tell above from fonz (management) the attitude. I had several trucks leased on with them. The drivers I hired to put on my trucks were specifically told to get their dispatch through me, as I also did not want my trucks to go into high fuel states, because they didn't pay 100% of the fuel surcharge, although they NEVER paid for any of the fuel that went into my trucks. When dispatch continued to go over me and tell my drivers they had to take the loads they dispatched, that is when I pulled my trucks. I am not the only one either. What was said about them was true. Guess dispatch got caught finally!!!! My drivers were also told by dispatch to get the load there on time!!!! Didn't matter if they drove over the hrs. Of course I didn't agree to that and fired a few of my drivers for listening to dispatch!!!! I have nothing more to say. I would never give them the time of day, I don't care how many they laid off. Right and wrong come from the top!!!!
